Running a business can be challenging enough without the threat of lawsuits. However, accepting that they are an ever-present threat is only sensible. It means you can put measures in place to try and prevent them from occurring and be prepared to act when they do.

You need to abide by all the current rules and regulations that apply to your business. Failing to keep up to date with changes could cause you problems. As could failing to do adequate research or failing to implement adequate monitoring of staff and systems to ensure you do comply.
